Bill Snow was born in Lamar, Missouri in 1938 and lived there throughout his high school years. Restless and uninspired by academia, he headed west in search of a more fulfilling life. He lived in the San Fernando Valley of California for a number of years where visual arts and poetry became part of his daily life. Having found his new calling, he returned to Carthage Missouri with a new life style. Bill, a persistent self taught artist, who after several years of attending workshops and building a studio, began to gain the recognition of his fellow artists and the interest of local art galleries.
